Joseph Allegretti, MD

Dr. Joseph Allegretti earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He then completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, where he received comprehensive training in both medical and surgical management of conditions affecting the ear, nose, sinuses, and throat. Dr. Allegretti is Board Certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Following his residency, he pursued fellowship training in Head and Neck and Skull Base Tumor and Reconstructive Surgery at Rush University Medical Center.

Dr. Allegretti is a Board-Certified member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He plays an active role in advancing head and neck cancer care as one of the Illinois representatives of the Advocate System Head and Neck Cancer Quality Council. Additionally, he serves as a member of several multidisciplinary tumor boards, including:

Dr. Allegretti has contributed to leading Otolaryngology journals, including Laryngoscope, and has published extensively in his field. Furthermore, he is fully certified in the surgical insertion of the INSPIRE hypoglossal nerve stimulator, a cutting-edge treatment for Sleep Apnea.
